3rd day at Phuket 10 April 2009 Thurs Part 1

We parted our friends after the morning breakfast at the guesthouse. Not bad la, American Breakfast.

Sha went for laser whitening for his teeths. Haha. it is a professional dental clinic where the price is few hundred cheaper than Singapore or in the states. Indeed surgery and medical are cheaper in Thailand, no wonder people go Thailand and do plastic surgery. haha.

For many medical tourists, though, the real attraction is price. The cost of surgery in Thailand can be one-tenth of what it is in the United States or Western Europe, and sometimes even less. A heart-valve replacement that would cost $200,000 or more in the U.S., for example, goes for fraction of that price in Thailand and that includes round-trip airfare and a brief vacation package. Similarly, a metal-free dental bridge worth $5,500 in the U.S. costs $750 in Thailand, a knee replacement in Thailand with six days of physical therapy costs about one-fifth of what it would in the States, and Lasik eye surgery worth $3,700 in the U.S. is available in Thailand for only $1650. Cosmetic surgery savings are even greater: A full facelift that would cost $20,000 in the U.S. runs about $7500 in Thailand.

Medical tourism in Phuket Thailand are quite popular in recent years and some operations such as rhinoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation, orthodontics, and LASIK, to more serious and life-saving procedures such as joint replacements and cardiac bypass surgery among others.

A combination of many factors has lead to the recent increase in popularity of medical tourism: high costs of healthcare in industrialized nations, ease and affordability of international travel, improving technology and standards of care in many countries of the world.

Medical tourists are generally residents of the industrialized nations of the world, the countries they travel are typically the less developed ones with lower cost of medical care, in some cases due to favorable currency exchange ratios. Currently, many of the procedures accessed are considered "elective procedures," such as cosmetic surgery. Because elective procedures are rarely covered through health insurance plans, there may be greater incentive to find such care at lower costs.

So I wil be saving money now. In case that I lose my job here, I will go there for plastic surgery and become their 'Ah Gua' hahaha. No la, no harm trying procedures like facelift and sharpen my nose. haha. errr Penis Enlargement included? haha

2nd day at Phuket 9 April 2009 Thurs Part 1

We woke up as early as 7am to prepare ourself as the sea tour will begin at 8am.

Unable to take the breakfast so rushed for hot coffee at the jetty only :(

We took the PP Package by speed boat which costed about S$70/-

PP Island + Maya Bay + Khai Island
PP Island is the place which is separated to be two parts - Phi Phi Lay & Phi Phi Don. The tourist on Phi Phi Don must rent a boat to see the outer beautiful point such as Maya Bay, Loh Samah bay, Peleh Cove, Hing-Klang, Camel Rock, Viking cave or Khai Island.

On the said way, the tourist must spend both time and money a lot. To avoid these matters, Jc.Tour can help you to get all beautiful places in one day trip. The following is the example point in the package:

Maya bay :
Maya bay It is the world class beautiful bay, the movie named the beach starring by Leonado Dicaprio shooting here.!!!

Khai Island:

On Khai, the sand is look like the powder for face; the water is clear like a mirror. You just take a seat on the beach, you can play with a million kinds of fishes and you can see the dolphins someday.

Hin Klang:
It is the best point for snorkeling, there is the coral mountain under the water surrounding with a million kinds of fishes and living coral reefs

Viking Cave: The old people said it was the cave which the pirate lives in the part, but now is just the place for bird make nests. So, the local people collect the birds' nests for sale from there.

We ended the trip much eariler due to the thunderstorm!:() We took the speed boat back during the thunderstorm. The speed boat was rushing at high speed beating the high tide. The tide was so strong that it looked like going to eat us up!The rain is also attacking us! It remind me the 'Titanic'! covering ourself with the towels, shivering while the rain and wind were attacking us. It would be just great if my love was on board with me. I will declare my love in such situation that we will die together! Hold my hand and I will protect u with my life! haha so drama!

We arrived at Phuket airport at 14400hrs and had arranged the guest-house side to pick us up (600 baht). It took us 30 mins from the airport to the Patong Bench. Yah, we booked guesthouse instead as it is more budget. It is located in the town and near to the Patong Beach too. It costed 2550 baht Standard Room for 3 nights and Sha took Balcony room which costed about 3150 baht. Balcony room got better view to the opposite where the entertainment outlets lies.

Here is a view of the guesthouse. Basic facilities are attached.

Some thoughts of life and marriage.

I am covering OC today. Beside that, have to attend 'extra' meeting and also to finish up the 'old' assignment. Great! no more excuse for my assistance anymore, hopefully. I need to concentrate on my own unit now. What to hand over should hand over, including the problems and unsolved.

Honestly, my angel is telling me not to be calculative. We are in the same division afterall. All right, well, I still miss my previous job, previous CLU friends and elderly (dont ask what is CLU:- is confidential).

Well, if need me, I am still available, but is for inputs and advise. NoT follow up!

Got a female called me who is enquiring her husband's case, however, instead of telling her on the status, she keep telling me on her bad situation in the family of being abused and sometime assaulted by the husband. Well, due to my profession, I am not allow to give her legal advice but just an listening ear for her for almost 2hrs! She is marrying to husband of different race. She unable to get help from her own family, next of kins and friends. She keeping blaming herself from getting married.

Well, I just become a listening ear for her and she felt comfortable in telling me her life and her stories.

Blaming herself from getting married? Well, partly true. I don't believe in marriage. In my own perspective, marriage is to secure a woman on her lifetime with a man. If a man break the marriage promise, yeah! the woman will get monthly maintenance. With custody of the children, which mean more $$ to get from the man.

If you love someone,no need to get marriage. Marriage is a bond and not Love.

Well, just look at the stats.

a)is the number of PPO increasing?
b)is the number of Maintenance cases increasing?
c)is the number of divorce increasing?
d)is the number of Family counselling increasing?
e)is the of lawyer's engagement for such cases increasing?

The stats will tell u the scary part of marriage. As I going to tell u. Marriage is a symbol of bond and not Love anymore. Don't think too much of yourself in the fairytale. Weigh the Pro and Cons. Marriage can be Happy, but divorce can be painful and expensive!!

My caller married a man from other race. Not being racist la. Just that this particular 'type' is in-built with violent profile and more violent when drunk. If dont believe ,try it!

Well, due to my nature of work, bad and sad stories are always by my ears. Perhap this is call occupational hazard ba.

Anyway, what I said here is my own views. I do not represent any media.

cc: PP:- Buddy!! If I still a single old man in near future, my god-son and daughter will take care of me right?? Chey I know what u thinking. OKOK...They will be my nomination for my CPF saving and insurances. haha:)
